With the Ramzan festival fast approaching, the festival fever has already hit the old city of Hyderabad quite strong! Who wouldn't like to shop till they drop and enjoy their favorite Nawabi cuisines after that? :)

Like change, learning is constant!
Some learn by observing others,
some learn by guidance from elders,
and some learn by discussing it with others.
But what remains constant in all this process is learning.
When we are through learning, we are just through!
Learning is the beginning of wealth.
Learning is the beginning of health.
Learning is the beginning of spirituality.
Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.

Tradition from old times ...
Ladies carry offerings in these colorful pots decorated with flowers and neem leaves on their head all the way to the temple to worship the lady goddess. Some tranced women even dance with balancing pots to the rhythmic beats of drums in honour of the local Goddess.

Golconda Bonalu
When I went to Golconda Fort today to experience the celebrations of Bonalu festival, least did I knew the extent to which it is celebrated here! I was totally blown away by the scale and energy with which people celebrate this festival. Easily it is one of the major gatherings for celebrations in Hyderabad!

The freshness after the rain ...
After the rain the air is sweet
With glistening pools beneath my feet
Raindrops dripping down from the eaves
Tear drops slipping off shining leaves
After the rain comes a fresh dawn
After the rain new hope is born
After the rain has touched my soul
After the rain I shall be whole!

Blurred Reality!
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
~ Mahatma Gandhi
Today is International Justice Day, to recognize the emerging system of international criminal justice. On this day it feels bad to say that our society is just becoming money minded and more corrupt by the day. The very money we spend has the words "Satyameva Jayate" inscribed on it, which means "Truth Alone Triumphs"! But hardly anyone seems to give any thought about it before putting all their wrong efforts to fetch it in the wrong way. Hope our governing system and the society becomes corrupt free some day!

Divine Bliss ..
The mind is everything. What you think you become.

Luckily came across this wonderful scene around the sunset time yesterday. Sun hiding behind the clouds cast this wonderful slant rays on Buddha which was perfect for creating this photograph!

Life's a journey, not a destination!
Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

Kanchendzonga Sunrise
View of Kanchendzonga (highest peak of Indian subcontinent) and the neighbouring peaks, just when the sun appeared from behind the mountains. The soft morning light gorgeously lit the peaks and valley with golden yellow color.
This is a panoramic image taken from the summit of Dzongri, Sikkim, India.
