From my childhood days, always remembered river cauvery (pronounced as Kaveri) to be overflowing with water. After all, it is the longest perennial river of the state! Today it looks so dry with no speck of water anywhere in its huge stretch of flow in Tiruchirapalli city. It looks so sad like this empty pot with no water to offer to the thirsty!

Saw this little girl selling Pan Parag and Cigarettes at a crowded place in our capital. I am sure poverty has pushed her to this situation.

Government has passed a law guaranteeing every child's basic right to education. Yet, 8 million children in India today are out of school. We need to spread the message and make sure these children get to school otherwise future generations of this country will be pushed to this same fate!
